When the same visual evidence produces opposite factual conclusions, standard content moderation approaches that rely on fact-check flags are structurally too slow.
The Minneapolis ICE shooting created exactly this environment: a high-emotion event involving law enforcement, immigration policy, and use-of-force — each of which independently activates high-engagement partisan frames. The speed at which competing narratives hardened created a narrow window for meaningful intervention.

Misinformation pathways were documented: which accounts first introduced each competing claim, which platform clusters amplified which version, and the velocity at which each claim reached non-partisan audiences. The full map was delivered within hours of the event — before any major fact-check was published.
